With other platforms, you might have to use a bunch of third-party plugins and external apps to get what you’re looking for, and that approach can lead to problems in the future.

While Squarespace has really great ecommerce functionality already built-in, you might prefer to integrate a 3rd party app for your online shop. It is possible, with some limitations, to integrate Shopify buy buttons or other 3rd party shopping carts that can be embedded externally such as Shoprocket or Ecwid.
